DSCF2645Volunteers have the opportunity to make new friends, learn more about cerebral palsy, give back to the community, and contribute to the good work done by CPATH. We are always looking for volunteers to support our programs. See below for a comprehensive list of places we could use your services. All volunteers working directly with children require background and sex offender checks.

Special Event Community VolunteersThese volunteers work as needed on local outreach and community events.  Past events include Seton Medical Center Trunk or Treat, Pecan Street Festival, school educational events, and health and wellness fairs.

Respite and CPals Social Group Events – Volunteers with skills as PTs, OTs, RNs are needed for interactive and fun activities for children with high physical needs. Buddy volunteers don’t need to be a specialist and are also needed for respite days and social events.

Adult Education We are always looking for speakers for topics relevant to cerebral palsy, special needs, health, wellness, finance, or other subjects related to needs of parents and adults with cerebral palsy. If you would like to present to CPATH parents, please contact Marielle at marielle@cpathtexas.org.

Partner Organizations- We are a small non-profit organization. We are interested in partnering with other non-profits or businesses to provide social programs, workshops, and events that align with the CPATH mission. Examples include the BBVA Compass for Your Cause program.

Office Volunteers As a growing non profit, CPATH has many opportunities to volunteer “behind the scenes”. These opportunities include:

  • Bilingual Services/ Translations – We want to reach all families with CP and many speak Spanish. Spanish speakers duties would include translating flyers, social media posts, grant applications, camp applications, attend events as a translator
  • Fundraising – Help plan fundraising events events and coordinate sponsorships
  • CPA or Quickbooks Specialist – Assistance with keeping the financials
