Communications Intern Opportunity

Are you pursuing a major in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or Advertising? We offer an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic non-profit organization.

You can earn college credits while developing hands-on skills in digital marketing, communications, and non-profit work, all within a friendly and supportive environment.

Interning with CPATH Texas is a unique and rewarding experience where you’ll have the opportunity to dive into a variety of exciting projects. Your role will include promoting high-profile events, crafting compelling press releases for organizational milestones, and creating engaging social media campaigns that spread awareness and connect with the CP community. These tasks help you gain real-world experience in various facets of communications, from marketing strategies to public relations, while contributing a very meaningful cause.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create press releases for major CPATH Texas events, including Camp CPals, CP Awareness, The Green Machines, and Light the Path.
  • Craft engaging content, schedule posts, and drive awareness of our mission and events across our social media channels.
  • Support CPress, our monthly newsletter with family stories, grant recipients, and event highlights.
  • Photograph and video CPATH Texas activities for publication on our website, social media, and outside publications.
  • Preferred knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, Canva, and/or Illustrator.
Meetings and Time Commitment

  • Attend various events to deepen your understanding of our mission and the cerebral palsy community.
  • Participate in at least one board meeting to gain insight into non-profit operations.
  • Attend / virtual regular check-ins with your internship supervisor to review progress and work.
