Our Equipment Closet continues to provide permanent donations for families to keep, with no lending or borrowing required. With this new system, you can browse, sort, track, and place a hold on inventory from our Equipment Closet more efficiently and it will allow us to serve more families. ALL equipment and supplies continue to be FREE to all in need.
Program History
- The first donation was received on March 6, 2019, and that same piece found its new home on March 25th with a young boy in the Temple area. He couldn’t ride the bus with his current chair and was months away from receiving new equipment through insurance.
- Donations have spanned well beyond Central Texas. We’ve reached Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. We’ve helped families as far north as Canada and down to South America.
- A CP diagnosis is not required to access the Equipment Closet. We are here to assist ANYONE in need!
- As of Nov 2025, Total Impact has reached $5 million dollars in medically necessary durable medical equipment donated back to our community.
The Equipment Closet program has significantly impacted families not just in Central Texas, but well beyond our core service area. We are excited to touch so many lives, enhance mobility and independence, and improve the quality of life for children and families with cerebral palsy and other physical needs.

Our Orthotics Braces Collection Program gathers used orthotics locally and distributes them to partner organizations worldwide, providing access to quality braces in areas where they are in high demand but limited in supply.
Drop-off locations include Hanger Orthotics at the Barbara Jordan location, CNCA Shoal Creek location, and CPATH’s Equipment Closet.
