Victoria's passion for philanthropy is infectious. She has worked with numerous charities, including children’s advocacy centers, and gained valuable non-profit operational experience as a Director for a foundation that supports high-risk individuals. A native Texan, Victoria graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Applied Learning and Development. Victoria brought her commitment to service into her classrooms, teaching young students inclusion and community-mindedness. It was during this time that she first encountered cerebral palsy. Years later, when her son Ben was diagnosed with CP, she felt driven to support other families with information, resources, and a strong support system. As CPATH’s president, Victoria plays a pivotal role in enhancing CPATH’s programming and ensuring the sustainability of key initiatives. Her tireless efforts in organizing funding campaigns and fostering community partnerships are crucial to CPATH’s visibility and outreach. Outside of CPATH, she enjoys time with her husband Jeff and their sons Ben and Josh, exploring Austin, and hunting for travel deals. Marielle's family moved to the United States from Lima, Peru when she was five years old. Leaving behind everything they knew, her mother made the brave decision to move in search of a better life for Marielle and her siblings. The courage behind this life-changing decision inspires Marielle to embody that same inner strength in every aspect of her life. "It teaches me that I can be like my mother, especially with all the challenges that come with our cerebral palsy journey," Marielle says. Marielle earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas. With over 20 years of experience supporting executives in the corporate world, she brings that knowledge to CPATH, ensuring the organization runs smoothly and efficiently. As a wife and mother of three boys, Marielle is deeply involved in her children’s school activities, sports, and advocacy for her son. In her free time, Marielle is an active member of the Austin Sure Shots, a women’s pistol league. The focus, confidence, and discipline she’s developed in shooting help her manage the many tasks required of her, even when life gets hectic. Jamie graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Engineering and earned her MBA from Northern Kentucky University. Her career path took a major turn after twin boys Alex and Lucas were born with cerebral palsy. When her sons were diagnosed, she had many questions but found few resources to guide her. As she navigated this new path, she became determined to find support and opportunities for her boys and help other families facing similar challenges. As a two-time Ironman finisher and six-time marathoner, Jamie channels her sons’ perseverance every time she races. Their hard work to take their first independent steps at age five fuels her own determination, reminding her that every step forward is a victory. Jamie is passionate about CPATH’s impact and the incredible community and opportunities they have fostered, empowering individuals and families to thrive. Jamie and her husband Pete have three sons: Jacob, Alexander, and Lucas. They love all sports and can often be found attending both college and professional sporting events.
Holly Keeley, M.D., graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology before earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She further specialized in pediatric care through child neurology residency programs at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Keeley is an active member of the Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Academy of Neurology. Her special interests include Cerebral Palsy, Neonatal Neurology, and General Child Neurology. Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Keeley enjoys spending time with her family, cycling, playing pickleball, and exploring Austin’s best taco spots. She is also a certified Level 2 sommelier.
Cheryl has been actively involved with CPATH for several years, particularly with the Light The Path planning committee, and is excited to be a member of the CPATH Board of Directors. A graduate of Texas State University with a BA in Political Science and History, Cheryl brings over 15 years of experience as a Technical Writer and Communicator in the software industry. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, and cheering for the Texas State Bobcats. She and her husband Taylor reside in Round Rock. Cheryl is excited to support CPATH’s mission as the organization grows and provides meaningful programs and resources to the cerebral palsy community.
Chrissie has known Victoria’s son Ben since he was born and was happy to have an opportunity to support CPATH’s growth efforts because of her desire to give back to the Austin community. Every time she gets an opportunity to serve the greater Austin community she takes it, because her employer, Apple Inc. provides opportunities to serve and match donations. Chrissie’s previous opportunities to give back include cleaning up the Loop 360 hiking trails and registration at the Austin Pride Walk. Listening to music is Chrissie’s greatest hobby, and in any given month she will attend two or three live concerts or festivals. It doesn’t matter the type of music, but the craftsmanship of the music makes her feel alive.
Shelly joined the CPATH board in the Winter of 2022. As an autism parent and trained advocate, she is committed to supporting an inclusive community. Shelly has volunteered with AISD schools and various Austin nonprofits for many years, helping raise over $14 million for local organizations. She has extensive experience advocating on local, state, and national levels. In addition to her advocacy work, Shelly is an experienced real estate agent with 18 years in Central Texas. A proud supporter of the Texas Longhorns, you can often find Shelly wearing burnt orange and cheering for UT Football and Baseball. Hook ‘Em!
Brittany, a Certified Public Accountant, brings over sixteen years of experience in accounting and finance. She is currently the Vice President and Corporate Controller for a veterinary management company that supports veterinarians nationwide. A native Austinite, Brittany holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from St. Edward’s University and a Master’s in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Brittany’s son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 2, and she was introduced to the CPATH community through his therapy team. The support from CPATH—whether through much-needed equipment, adaptive events like soccer or ice skating, or connections with families on a similar journey—has been life-changing. Brittany is thrilled and honored to serve on the board, helping other families within the CP community. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family and spending time in nature.
Shortly after her daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Natalie and her husband were eager to get involved and give back to the CP community. They were introduced to CPATH and quickly found a supportive home. Born and raised in Houston, Natalie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Public Relations. She has worked across the non-profit, real estate, and software industries. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring Austin, and traveling with her family. Natalie has played an integral role in CPATH’s growth, participating in numerous events and actively fundraising for the organization over the past ten years. She is passionate about giving back to her community and helping other families navigate the challenges of cerebral palsy. As Natalie shares, “If it weren’t for CPATH, I’d feel so alone on this journey. I hope to provide the same support to other families that CPATH has given to mine.”
Justin serves as Chief Development Officer at Texas Methodist Foundation. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Southwestern University and earned his MBA from Willamette University in 2004. With over 25 years of experience, Justin has cultivated philanthropic cultures, strategies, and practices for organizations, focusing on higher education, faith-based institutions, and community foundations. He is skilled in leading teams in donor management and client relations, strategic planning, marketing, communications, and developing giving strategies. Justin and his wife, Stacey, live in Austin, Texas, with their two children, Carson and Parker.
Doug came to CPATH through his own journey with CP. He understands the challenges faced by children and adults as they build successful lives to accommodate the unique needs of their particular disabilities. He grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, before attending Southern Methodist University. In the fall of 2000, Doug moved to Austin to attend law school at the University of Texas. He’s stayed ever since, describing Austin as a "big city made up of little Mayberries," where everyone can find a neighborhood that feels like home. His legal career has primarily focused on environmental regulation. On most weekends, you can find Doug on the sporting clays course with his partner Erika who has opened his mind to adventuresome vacations and small fluffy dogs. Doug is deeply passionate about increasing awareness and understanding of cerebral palsy, and his work with CPATH allows him to channel that passion into meaningful action.
Kelli brings over 22 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy, with a strong focus on neurological conditions. Her dedication to helping children and families drives her to continuously learn and collaborate with her patients' medical teams, ensuring the best outcomes. Kelli has been involved with CPATH for more than a decade and is thrilled to help drive its growth and progress. From coordinating family assistance efforts to spearheading fundraising events, Kelli's dedication has been instrumental in expanding CPATH’s reach and impact within the community. She is deeply committed to advancing CPATH’s mission of inclusion and accessibility for individuals with cerebral palsy. A proud Texas Longhorn, Kelli enjoys watching all kinds of sports. In her free time, she can be found exploring new restaurants, enjoying Austin’s live music scene, traveling, or spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs. Nobel graduated from the University of Texas, earning a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film. He joins CPATH following a successful career in Higher Education, where he started as a Financial Aid Representative, advanced to Director of Student Accounts, and ultimately served as Campus Vice President. Nobel’s connection to CPATH began through his friendship with Co-Founder Marielle Deckard. Inspired by CPATH’s mission, Nobel is proud of the impact he’s able to make through CPATH's Equipment Closet and helping families access essential medical equipment and supplies. Quoting Teddy Roosevelt, Nobel believes, “Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” In his free time, Nobel enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team, visiting comic book shops with his son, and traveling with his wife and children.
Dr. Jinfon Ong graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Biochemistry in 1998. He earned a master of science in human-computer interaction from DePaul University in Chicago before obtaining his medical degree from Rush University (also in Chicago). He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern and fellowship training in child neurology at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital. Most recently, he served as the co-director of the Spasticity Clinic with Pediatric Surgical Subspecialists in Austin.
